Job summary

Flagstar is seeking a Teller - Floater to provide exceptional service while processing routine financial transactions. The role involves traveling to various Financial Centers and supporting teller units as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of teller experience. Strong math, accuracy in data entry, and excellent customer service are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and service clients in a friendly and courteous manner; answer phones; provide account information and direct clients as needed.
• Process client transactions including cash and check deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, transfers, and related entries.
• Maintain adequate cash supply and balance cash on hand daily; ensure drawer limits are not exceeded.
• Balance transactions and verify totals against records in the system.
• Assist with ATM deposits/settlements and deposits to Night Depository as needed.
• Sell and purchase foreign currency when required.
• Participate in ongoing training and support Compliance, HR, etc.
• Provide support for Private Client Groups as needed.

Teller - Floater

Location: Jackson Heights, NY 11372

Job Summary

Teller provides excellent service to clients by assisting them with processing routine financial transactions on a day-to-day basis in accordance with all Bank policy and procedures. Will travel to Financial Centers and lend support to the teller units as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet and service clients in a friendly and courteous manner. Answer phones. Provide account information, answer client questions and direct clients appropriately for further assistance as needed.
• Process client transactions, including but not limited to, cash and check deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, issue official checks and money orders, transfers, general ledger entries, completion of CTRs, etc. accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain an adequate cash supply at all times: buying from & selling to the vault as needed ensuring established drawer limits are not exceeded.
• Balance cash on hand, transactions processed and negotiable items daily and ensure that totals prove to the figures on record in the computer.
• May assist with retrieval and processing of ATM deposits and ATM Settlement.
• May assist with retrieval and processing of deposits made to Night Depository.
• May sell and purchase foreign currency.
• Complete ongoing training as required Compliance, HR, etc.
• Provide support for the Private Client Groups as needed.

Additional Accountabilities

• Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
• Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year previous teller experience (required)

Pay Range

$17.00 - $24.23
