The First National Bank in Sioux Falls is seeking a Teller to support daily customer transactions and relationship building at our Sioux Falls location.
You will handle cash, balance drawers, and provide product recommendations while delivering friendly, accurate service in a secure banking environment. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required.

Accountabilities Sales & Service Execute the Sales and Service program of the department when working with customers Ask questions to open up conversation and uncover solutions and opportunitiesFully understand the products and services that are applicable to their role and recommends those products to our customers when appropriateCross sell and make referrals when they see the opportunity to better serve our customers Responsible for the growth of their assigned portfolio and that of their direct reports if applicableRepresent the bank in a positive manner in their community and encourages prospects to become customersKnow how their role fits into the strategic plan of the bank and their departmentStrive to meet goals that have been set for them and for their overall teamUnderstand that their role includes delivering world class customer service by exceeding customers expectations and building brand loyaltyGreet and acknowledge each customerAnswer and direct phone callsListen for cues to identify customer needsProvide information on products and services and refer customers to appropriate areas of the bankProvide excellent customer serviceStay up to date on the products and services available from the bankQuality Follow guidelines policies and procedures of the bank to keep errors to a minimum Errors are identified quickly and remedied efficiently when they occurUse solid judgement when making decisions and keeps the banks policies procedures and reputation in mindExceptions are well thought out and documented with proper approvalComplete all financial transactions accurately and efficientlyPrepare cashiers checks and change ordersReconcile cash drawer and balance all transactions as part of end of day processingPrevent fraud by following policy and procedure and by using good judgement and discernment to identify suspicious or altered negotiable instrumentsAssist customers with Safe Deposit Box accessEnsure compliance with applicable banking regulations and security measuresAbility to uphold strict confidentiality policy
High school diploma required Relevant work experience or a combination of educationexperience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities and required competencies of the position Cash handling sales and service experience preferred
