Job summary

Mid America Bank in Wardsville, Missouri is hiring a Teller to accurately process routine transactions and assist customers with accounts and bank services. This full-time role requires a friendly, professional demeanor and a willingness to learn our products.

As a Teller, you will handle cash daily, answer questions, and support daily branch operations, including Saturdays on a rotating schedule. Prior cash handling or customer service experience is preferred; basic computer skills are

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately process customers’ routine transactions such as cashing checks, depositing money, issuing withdrawals, and collecting loan payments
• Issue negotiable items such as cashier’s checks
• Provide customers access to their safe deposit box
• Complete customers’ special requests as needed
• Maintain supply of cash and currency in personal cash drawer
• Count personal cash drawer at the end of each shift to make sure it balances
• Reconcile personal cash drawer in the event drawer does not balance
• Interact with customers in person, on telephone, or through other electronic communications in a friendly, helpful, and patient manner
• Answer customers’ basic inquiries about their accounts
• Identify customer needs through active listening and provide tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and build loyalty
• Comply with bank operations and security procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank operations information
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Branch Hours Lobby Hours: M-F 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Sat 8:00 am - 11:00 pm

Drive-Up Hours: M-F 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Sat 8:00 am - 11:00 pm

Job Overview The Teller is responsible for accurately processing customers’ routine transactions in a professional and friendly manner. The Teller also interacts with customers and provides them with information about their accounts and bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications, Skills And Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required and/or prefer to be at least 16 years of age at time of employment
• Previous cash-handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technologies

Working Conditions

• Will require working on Saturdays, you will be in a rotation
• Standing for extended periods and handling cash regularly.
