SeaComm Federal Credit Union in Town of Massena, NY seeks a full-time Teller to help deliver total member delight and assist with financial transactions.
You will process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and other transactions, greet members, and provide routine information while directing complex inquiries to the appropriate department.
Role:
To assist the Credit Union in achieving its Service Mission to deliver Total Member Delight in each and every service interaction with both internal and external members. A key component of this external service is to identify the financial needs of each member and recommend an effective credit union product solution. In addition, the position will assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.
Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Operate money and coin counters, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment as needed. Must be good with number and name detail.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move bags of coin (up to 20 lbs). Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Position Type: Full Time
Hours: 39.5+ Hours per week.
Current Schedule: Varies as needed.
Pay Range:$17.00 - $19.00 per hour. Position also eligible for quarterly incentives and annual bonus.
Actual starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
