PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: (90%)

  1. Interact with customers in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner to identify their needs. Provide the necessary products or cross-sell to the appropriate areas of the bank to find solutions.
  2. Perform all teller duties proficiently and deliver customer service in the teller line.
  3. Handle IRA distributions and sales; stay informed of changes by attending IRA sessions.
  4. Process debit card requests – activate, close, delete, hot card, research customer issues, and review.
  5. Assist customers with Internet Banking and other retail technological products, and resolve related banking issues.
  6. Maintain risk-related files, including dormant, negative, and write-off accounts, as well as Money Service Business, Cash Management, Merchant Source Capture, and Consumer Source Capture customers.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: (10%)

  1. Develop relationships with other bank employees to promote teamwork.
  2. Represent the bank at civic and community events.
  3. Participate in retail meetings, adhere to compliance procedures, and engage in required training.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Preferably customer service and/or retail cashier experience. Prior banking experience is helpful.

Working Conditions

Work is mainly performed within the bank with limited risk of personal injury. Requires prolonged mental and visual concentration. May involve stressful situations due to multiple priorities and deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours, with possible evening and weekend hours to meet customer and employee needs. Occasional out-of-town and overnight travel may be required. Some Saturday work may be necessary. Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds of supplies and equipment is needed, along with some bending, turning, and twisting.
