Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• 1+ years teller, cash-handling, or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with BSA/CIP/OFAC regulations preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and balance cash drawers.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

Serve as the bank's primary contact with customers, providing in-branch services and routing inquiries to the appropriate team.

Receive deposits and payments for all account types; verify cash and check negotiability; issue receipts and apply credits per bank policy.

Cash checks and process withdrawal requests in accordance with policy; refer questionable transactions to a supervisor.

Place stop-payment requests as directed.

Actively cross-sell bank products and services; inform customers of new programs or services that may benefit them.

Follow all security policies and procedures; promptly report discrepancies or suspicious activity to a supervisor.

Provide accurate account information and balances to customers.

Maintain and balance assigned cash drawer daily.

Assist with processing night deposits and mail deposits.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

1+ years of teller, cash-handling, or retail banking customer service experience preferred.

Proficiency with PCs, Microsoft Office applications, and standard office equipment; ability to learn core banking systems.

Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail; able to balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; commitment to confidentiality.

Familiarity with BSA/CIP/OFAC requirements preferred.

Must be bondable.

Essential Functions

Lifting of up to 20 pounds; frequent twisting and kneeling may be required.

Extended sitting up to 95% of the time.

Occasional bending, climbing, and reaching above and below shoulder level.

Occasional exposure to dust and/or elevated noise levels.

Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.

Ability to use a PC, software, and standard office equipment.

Excellent verbal communication skills.
