About The Role

The Big Picture

Are you looking for a rewarding career in banking where you can build relationships, help customers, and grow professionally? If you enjoy working in a team‑oriented environment and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to meet you!

Who We Are

Heritage Bank of Nevada, Division of Glacier Bank, is a financial institution that values exceptional service, strong relationships, and the growth of our team members. If you’re looking for a workplace where you are valued and can make a difference, this is the place for you!

What You’ll Do

As a Bank Teller, you’ll be the friendly face our customers rely on. Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Processing transactions like deposits, withdrawals, and payments with accuracy and efficiency. Providing top‑notch customer service and answering account‑related questions.
  • Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate banking products or services.
  • Maintaining a balanced cash drawer and ensuring compliance with security procedures.
  • Assisting with ATM and night deposit transactions.
  • Learning and growing through training opportunities, including potential cross‑training in new accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone:

  • Who has at least six months of customer service and cash handling experience; banking experience is a plus.
  • Is comfortable handling cash and balancing transactions.
  • Enjoys working in a team and building relationships with customers.
  • Has strong communication skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Is able to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
  • Ability to take positive and constructive criticism and apply it to the job.
  • Is eager to learn and grow in the banking industry.

Where You’ll Work & What to Expect

You’ll be working in a comfortable, climate‑controlled office with a great team and a collaborative atmosphere. While it’s mostly a counter type desk job, there’s a lot of movement involved to keep things interesting!

Here’s what you can expect:

  • You’ll spend a good part of your day standing and working at a computer, helping customers, and handling transactions.
  • Occasionally, you’ll sit, walk, reach, or even crouch (though we promise, not too much crouching!).
  • From time to time, you may need to lift or move up to 30 pounds — nothing too heavy, but just enough to keep you on your toes.
  • You’ll need to be comfortable using office equipment like computers, phones, and copiers.
  • Reliability is key—we count on our team to be punctual and present.
  • In rare cases, you may need to work extended hours or travel off‑site.
  • If there’s an emergency, you should be able to navigate outside safely.
  • We also want to make sure you can see all the important details. This role requires close and distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Most importantly, we’re focused on supporting our team. If you need accommodations to perform your best, we’re happy to explore reasonable options to help you succeed.

What We Offer

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on geographic location. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Coverage is available to employees and their eligible dependents in accordance with our plan documents.
