Job summary

The Citizens Bank in Forest, MS is seeking a reliable Teller to provide excellent service by processing cash transactions and assisting customers with their banking needs.

You will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and related inquiries, while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Proficiency with MS Office and strong math skills are required, and a HS diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct teller transactions including cash deposits and disbursements.
• Redeem US Savings Bonds and accept loan payments.
• Answer client questions regarding rates, charges and account histories while following disclosure rules.
• Issue money orders and cashier's checks.
• Count and roll coins and identify counterfeit currency.

Essential Duties

Conduct appropriate teller transactions, including the deposit and disbursement of cash, coins and checks from checking and savings accounts; Redeem U. S. Savings Bonds; Accept loan payments; Answer client questions concerning interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with federal disclosure requirements; Issue money orders and cashier’s checks; Count and roll loose coins; Identify counterfeit currency; Provide excellentservice through all points of contact with clients; Other duties as assigned

The Right Person

• 6 months - 1 year experience as a teller or in a cash handling position.
• Previous work experience in an office environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient general math skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other PC applications.
• High School or GED Equivalent.
