Job summary

State Bank of Southern Utah Cedar City branch is seeking a part-time Teller who will welcome customers, process transactions, and help identify financial solutions while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

This role offers 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday 1pm–5pm with rotating Saturdays 9am–1pm; prior cash-handling and customer-facing experience are preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is required with a credit/background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months of cash-handling experience is required.
• Ability to pass a credit and background check is required.
• Preferred: one or more years of cash-handling experience.
• Preferred: one or more years of customer-facing experience.
• Preferred: previous banking experience.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and other banking transactions accurately.
• Balance and maintain your cash drawer in accordance with bank policies.
• Assist customers with account-related questions and everyday banking needs.
• Identify customer needs and connect them with appropriate bank products and services.
• Print replacement debit cards and assist with related services.
• Resolve customer concerns and provide solutions whenever possible.
• Communicate effectively with customers in person and over the phone.
• Monitor for unusual transactions, potential fraud, scams, or suspicious activity and follow established reporting procedures.
• Support branch operations and assist with additional duties as needed.
