We are currently seeking an outgoing and motivated 'roving' Teller! This position will be based in our Nampa location and will 'rove' between four Bank of Idaho locations in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa as needed. Tellers are responsible for accurately handling cash and negotiable instruments, processing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. Regular and timely attendance is essential.

The Bank of Idaho, acquired by Glacier Bancorp, is rebranding as Mountain West Bank in September. This is a full-time position, requiring availability from 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Nights and major holidays are off (paid). We offer a generous PTO plan and excellent retirement benefits. Starting pay is at least $16.25/hour, DOE.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive deposits, verify cash and endorsements, and issue receipts.
• Examine checks for proper funds availability and complete hold notices.
• Process withdrawals, verify endorsements, and ensure check validity.
• Identify counterfeit currency.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding accounts, interest rates, and charges, complying with regulations and privacy policies.
• Cross-sell bank products and services.
• Refer customers to appropriate departments for unresolved issues.
• Count and roll coins.
• Issue money orders, cashier’s checks, accept bond orders, and sell travelers checks.
• Accept loan payments and verify amounts.
• Buy and sell currency ensuring cash drawer limits are maintained.
• Maintain teller station supplies.
• Follow procedures for dormancy and account removal.
• Balance drawer daily and process cash advances and bond redemptions.
• Maintain currency logs and follow all bank policies and laws, including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC.

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technology and computer skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Jack Henry systems.
• 6 months of cash handling experience.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work indoors in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise. Must be able to sit, use hands, talk, hear, stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform routine office tasks. Extended hours and travel may be required.
