Job summary

ChoiceOne Bank in Comstock Park, MI is seeking a Non-Exempt Teller to deliver world-class customer service, handle cash and non-cash transactions, and support referral opportunities that help clients connect with bankers.

You will balance daily activity, stay informed about banking products, and build relationships while following BSA/Patriot Act and banking regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate teller window per bank policy, balance daily.
• Meet and exceed teller sale/referral goals.
• Process cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately, efficiently, and confidentially.
• Acquire up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technology.
• Develop relationships with clients and ensure customers’ awareness of services offered; recognize needs and refer to bankers.
• Comply with Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act and report violations.
• Familiar with federal and state banking regulations and comply accordingly.
• Occasional duties include night deposits, ATM balancing, stocking supplies, answering phones, and other duties as required.

Tellers are the face of ChoiceOne Bank. As a Teller, you will provide world-class customer service by handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Through your daily interactions with customers, you will discover opportunities to help grow ChoiceOne Bank and introduce customers to a banker.**Reports To:**Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Perform and follow the Bank’s policies, procedures, and customer service standards* Operate teller window in accordance with bank policy, balancing daily* Meet and exceed teller sale/referral goals* Process cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately, efficiently, and with confidentiality* Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technology* Develop relationships with clients and ensure customers’ awareness of services offered. Recognize clients’ needs and make referrals to bankers.* Perform other miscellaneous duties, including night deposits, ATM balancing and service, re-ordering and stocking supplies, answering phones, and other duties that may be required from time to time.* Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position.
