Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services, Program Support Center, Rockville, MD, seeks a Physician Assistant to join the FOH team. You will collaborate with the FOH Medical Director and federal leadership to provide medical consultation on occupational and public health matters for internal and external partners.

You will help develop FOH policies and SOPs, review literature, and ensure alignment with CHS, FOH, PSC, and HHS objectives. Telework is eligible for this role.

Qualifications

• Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Federal Occupational Health (FOH) Medical Director and other federal Medical Leadership team members to provide medical consultation and guidance on occupational and public health issues to internal and external customer partners, including FOH staff and federal agency customers.
• Participate in the development and review of FOH policies and standard operating procedures and recommend revisions as appropriate; enhance coordination between CHS clinical, case review, and consultation product lines nationally.
• Review current medical literature, evidence-based best practices, industry standards, and legislation related to FOH functions and product lines to stay current.
