Job summary

LMI is seeking a skilled Business Financial Manager to support a Customs and Border Protection customer. The role emphasizes DHS budget process, financial analysis, and SAP proficiency, with telework and one on-site day per week in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, relationship management, and experience in federal budgeting. Bachelor’s degree preferred; CGFM desirable; salary range targets $130,000-$185,000 with security clearances required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience formulating or executing federal budgets is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CGFM certification desired.
• Experience with SAP and INVEST is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support budget formulation for CBP programs by compiling costs and scenario variants.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop resource allocation plans and justifications.
• Provide analyses to ensure alignment with goals and DHS/CBP budget policy.
• Prepare and enter procurement requisitions and SAP entries.
• Maintain program and contractor cost baselines; monitor spend plans.
• Prepare financial reports and funding documents; identify variances and corrective actions.
• Mentor junior budgeting analysts and apply data analysis methods.
• Communicate results to CBP management and develop client financial reports.
• Coordinate with Budget & Finance Officers and Contracting Officers; support financial briefings.
