Job summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Saint Louis, MO, seeks a Section Chief to lead the civil design and site development for levees, floodwalls, erosion control, and navigation structures. You will plan, schedule, staff, and coordinate preliminary and final engineering designs.

You will supervise a team of about 14 professionals and support personnel, work under NH-03/GS-13 grade levels, and have telework eligibility with a competitive federal pay range of $91,779 to $141,880 per year.

Responsibilities

• Planning, scheduling, staffing, directing, and controlling the preparation of preliminary and final detailed civil engineering designs and project site development for features such as levees, floodwalls, streambank erosion control, diversion channels, navigation structures, roads, recreation trails, and reservoir projects.
• Exercising technical and administrative supervision over a workforce of approximately 14 professional, technician, and support personnel in grades through NH-03/GS-13.
