Job summary

The Florida Department of Revenue invites you to apply for the Senior Appraiser role in the Property Tax Oversight Program. You will appraise real property to determine market value for assessment, and conduct field inspections of vacant and improved properties to produce USPAP-compliant reports.

Four years of appraisal experience, proficiency with Word and Excel, and strong communication and writing skills are required. Telework is eligible with supervisor approval; travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of single-property or mass appraisal experience, including inspecting and valuing real properties such as commercial or industrial properties.
• Experience collecting and analyzing large quantities of sale, income, and expense data.
• Experience with Word and Excel to compile, interpret, analyze, and display validation data.
• Experience in applying multiple approaches to value and proper appraisal methodology.

Responsibilities

• Appraise real property to determine its just market value for assessment purposes.
• Conduct field inspections of real property, vacant and improved.
• Write and submit USPAP compliant appraisal reports; verify sales and data collection.
