Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Augusta, GA seeks a Physician specialized in Hematology-Oncology to provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role offers recruitment/relocation incentives and participation in the EDRP program, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration.

The physician will handle consults, ensure timely follow-up, and contribute to physician education and quality initiatives while working within the Augusta VA system.

Qualifications

• MD degree from LCME/COCA-eligible school or foreign equivalent, with eligibility for medical licensure in the US.
• Board certification in Hematology and Oncology preferred or eligible.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology-oncology care for inpatient and outpatient patients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with other physicians, nurses, and staff.
• Complete accurate documentation and coding for visits; manage referrals and consults.
• Participate in departmental meetings, CME, and quality improvement activities.
