Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Location: 602 Courtland St., Suite 300, Orlando, FL

The role you’ll contribute: The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients and follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes greeting patients, obtaining clinical, financial, and demographic information, assisting providers during treatment and examinations, and assisting with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties such as verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling appointments.

• Assist with screenings per physician orders and accurately enter all information
• Perform clinical intakes
• Aid in minor procedures as necessary per specialty
• Ensure practice flow by preparing patient and equipment for treatment
• Follow safety processes and policies to ensure proper care

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• At least 1 year of practical medical assisting experience and certification from one of the following, OR a graduate of a medical assistant program in lieu of experience:
• Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA)
• American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC)
• American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA) for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
