Job summary

Harbinger in California seeks a Systems Engineer to own ADAS feature definition, teleoperation systems, and EV platform architectures across Harbinger platforms.

You will bridge autonomous perception, remote command teleoperation, and high-voltage powertrains, leading lifecycle activities from use cases to validation, including ISO 26262 and cybersecurity. Collaboration with cross-functional teams ensures safety and performance targets are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, UGVs, or EV platforms.
• Experience designing or integrating low-latency teleoperation pipelines, video/telemetry streaming, or OCU interfaces.
• Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 26262, MIL-STD-882, or UL 4600) and safe fallback mode design.

Responsibilities

• Architect Teleoperation & Control Pipelines and OCU interfaces for remotely operated vehicles.
• Define safe fail-safe and fail-operational behaviors for degraded links and high-latency events.
• Decompose vehicle requirements into system, component, and interface requirements using Flow Engineering.
• Lead validation activities, DVP&R, and testing across SIL, HIL, and proving ground tracks to optimize stability and calibration.
