Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Unit Details:Common diagnoses and patient types include MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, pretty much any lung surgery with lots of chest tubes, esophagectomy (not fresh from PACU), and general medicine overflow.Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights.RNs titrate drips, mainly Cardizem and heparin.Respiratory support includes CPAP/BiPAP for patients on their home regimen; heated high flow is used only in special circumstances with COVID patients.Tele monitors are Philips, and nurses must read and interpret their own strips.

Shift & Scheduling:Night shift runs 1900-0730.Weekend rotation is every other weekend; night shifts are Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.Holiday rotation is required. Night-shift holidays are Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve.No call or standby requirement at this time.

Floating Requirements:Float to other general medical units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
