Experience:

Unit Details:Common diagnoses and patient types include total knees, hips and shoulders, CVAs, encephalopathy, and lumbar fusions; clean medical-surgical patients may also be assigned when bed needs require.If medical-surgical census does not support the need, the clinician may be assigned inpatient rehabilitation patients.Patient ratios are 1:4 for medical-surgical patients and 1:6 for inpatient rehabilitation patients; these ratios are frequently adjusted by the level of care required by the patient and reviewed in staffing 2x/day.Telemetry is monitored off-site by monitor technicians, who notify nurses when rhythm changes are noted.

Shift & Scheduling:Self-scheduling is not available, but schedule flexibility may be accommodated.Every other weekend is required.Holidays are rotated to allow all staff time to spend with their families.

Floating Requirements:With low census, the nurse will remain on the unit or, if there is a greater need for nursing staff, may float to another medical-surgical unit in the hospital with similar staffing ratios.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
