Trusted Health is seeking an experienced travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Grass Valley, CA. The unit focuses on cardiac care with telemetry, and nurses will float to MedSurg and Tele as needed.

The shift is 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM, nights, 12-hour shifts, with 3 shifts per week. Candidates must have CA RN license, at least 2 years in telemetry and EKG interpretation, and Cerner experience is a plus.

Unit Details

The patient population has a cardiac focus with general overflow; common drips include stable, non-titrating Cardizem, Amio, and heparin.The unit does not care for ventilated patients.A hospitalist or intensivist is in house.No IV team is available.Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.Pharmacy is available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling

Every other weekend is required.Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s), with holiday shifts rotating with core staff.Extra shifts are available.Self-scheduling is used, but schedules are not finalized until the manager balances them.Schedules are released 4 weeks in advance.Travelers can access their schedules from home, make themselves available for extra shifts, and trade with other staff.

Floating Requirements

The clinician is first to float to MedSurg and Tele.
