Job summary

Trusted Health in Austin, TX seeks an experienced travel nurse for a night shift assignment. The role requires 2 years of general nursing with 12 months Telemetry and acute care, plus Meditech experience and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. Floating to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding is required.

Schedule is 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM on a 13-week contract. Applicants must hold a Texas or compact RN license, live >50 miles away, and be travel-only.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Respiratory experience - advanced airways, oxygen management. Cardiac drips - not titrated.

Unit Details:Uses GE Telemetry, Pyxis, and Welch Allyn vital sign monitors.Typical procedures include stress tests, heart cath, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tubes.

Shift & Scheduling:No call required.Every other weekend scheduling.

Floating Requirements:Float to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding for this level of care.
