Job summary

TotalMed RN in Shelby, NC is seeking a Telemetry RN for a travel nursing assignment. This 13-week position offers 36 hours per week on a night shift, with 12-hour shifts, and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications preferred before start.

Start date is soon after hire in a travel capacity. The Telemetry RN will monitor patients’ heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate and ECG data, interpreting displays to guide care decisions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience.
• Telemetry RNs monitor heart rate, BP, respiration and ECG data.
• Ability to interpret monitors and communicate findings to the team.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications preferred before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside telemetry nursing care.
• Monitor and adjust telemetry equipment and interpret displays.
• Identify irregular readings and notify the medical team.
• Take corrective action when monitoring data indicates adverse symptoms.
