Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Monitor Trainer at the Cleveland Clinic Administrative Campus in Beachwood. You will design and deliver training for telemetry/monitor technicians, teach rhythm interpretation, and support onboarding and refresher courses to improve training effectiveness.

A caregiver in this position will work 7:00am-3:00pm schedule; you will collaborate with nurse educators, cardiology teams, and leadership while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum three years of training experience with demonstrated training proficiency.
• Background as a telemetry technician, cardiac monitor tech, or nurse preferred.
• Strong ECG/arrhythmia interpretation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programs for new telemetry/monitor technicians.
• Teach cardiac rhythm interpretation including arrhythmias and lethal rhythms.
• Provide onboarding, competency validation, and refresher courses.
• Develop lesson plans, training manuals, and simulation scenarios.
• Ensure staff accurately interpret ECG rhythms in real time; reinforce monitoring protocols and escalation procedures.
• Audit monitor technician performance and documentation; identify knowledge gaps and implement corrective training.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and accrediting bodies.
• Collaborate with nurse educators, cardiology teams, and leadership; coordinate training schedules with unit managers.
