Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Telemetry Technician monitors and interprets ECG readings, documents findings, and supports the healthcare team and patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and interpret ECGs continuously, communicating changes to the RN.
  2. Document all rhythm interpretations and relevant information accurately.
  3. Support patient safety and equipment safety protocols.
  4. Assist with departmental orientation and performance improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • 3-6 months of previous experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of dysrhythmia, heart blocks, SPO2 monitoring, and alarm response preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and operate electronic equipment.
Education and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course and passing the Telemetry Technician exam are required.
