Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL, is seeking a Telemetry Technician for the mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke Unit at the Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with shifts 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., including 4-5 weekends in six weeks and rotating holidays.

No travel required. You will monitor cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry, notify nursing or medical staff as needed, and perform clerical duties.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three months of healthcare/monitor tech experience.
  • Pass initial and ongoing competencies.
  • Experience monitoring rhythms of 50–70 patients.
  • Experience with Philips Monitoring System.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry via telemetry equipment.
  • Notify nursing/medical staff according to procedure.
  • Perform related clerical duties as needed.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Telemetry Technician - Mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke Unit Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126 Full Time: 36 hours per week Hours: 7:00a.m.-7:30 p.m. (4-5 weekends in a 6 week period) and rotating holiday track Required Travel: no

What you will do:

Under general supervision, monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment. Notifies nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedure. Performs clerical related duties as necessary.

What you will need:

Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Certification : EKG Certification Experience: Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience. Must pass initial and ongoing competencies. Unique or Preferred Skills: Experience monitoring rhythms of anywhere between 50-70 patients Experience with Philips Monitoring System Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
