Job description

Utility Metering Solutions is seeking an individual to fill a Telemetry Technician position.

Individuals in a Telemetry Tech role must be highly motivated, dependable, and able to work independently, with team members, and under the supervision of the Field Service Manager.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following job functions daily:

  1. Operate a handheld tablet used to capture data through barcode scanning, manual entry, and photography.
  2. Process the required data accurately to perform quality assurance functions.
  3. Meet all required completion dates and times.
  4. Communicate with others professionally, demonstrating clear written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Follow safety, productivity, and quality standards.

UMS provides step-by-step training and all necessary tools to ensure success in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must have and maintain a vehicle and proof of insurance.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must have clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work all required shifts.
  • Have basic technological skills.
  • Be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Achieve standards of safety, productivity, and quality of work.
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must be capable of working under conditions such as wearing company-required uniforms and PPE, which is provided by the company, standing, walking, reaching, using hands and arms frequently, performing outdoor work in various weather conditions, and following directions from the Field Service Manager.
