Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Telemetry Technician for per diem night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. You will monitor patient telemetry, respond to alarms, and assist RN staff with rhythm interpretations. A background in EKG training and licensure (LPN/RN/Paramedic) is preferred, with strong attention to accuracy and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days.
• RN/LPn/RN with EKG training preferred; LPNs limited to telemetry tech role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms continuously and respond promptly to all alarms.
• Observe all monitors and verify correct rhythm identification.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rate, PRI, QRS, QT, ST changes.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
