Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to support the central telemetry unit. You will monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, document findings, and respond to rhythm changes to ensure patient safety.

The role requires ECG knowledge, a high school diploma, and completion of ECG class; experience in nursing aids or paramedical fields is preferred. This on-site position offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities to contribute to quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ECG Class completion and ECG exam required.
• Preferred: Block 1 Nursing, Tech-PCT, MA, NA, or Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Monitors waveforms and identifies normal rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Documents rhythm strips every shift and after changes in rhythm.
• Troubleshoots telemetry transmitters and receivers.
• Communicates abnormal rhythms to the healthcare team.
• Assists and serves as a resource to the healthcare team.
• Maintains regulatory education requirements and supports quality activities.

The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMonitors waveforms and identifies normal rhythms and dysrhythmias.
