• 2 shifts every six weeks - Rotating
  • Days: 7:00am-7:00pm
  • Nights: 7:00pm-7:00am
• Holiday Rotation

Overview

Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, a Sleep Disorders Center, and outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Telemetry Units house 21 patients, with 10 semi-private rooms and 1 private room. Additional swing rooms are available on AMCU, with four semi-private rooms dedicated to the CTS unit, equipped with bedside monitors.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists nurses with patient and family education; documents all care activities accurately using medical terminology; acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as needed.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet patient needs.
• Implements direct patient care under nursing team supervision.
• Collects clinical data and reports abnormal findings to the nurse.
• Instructs patients in preparation for tests and procedures.
