Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Registered Nurse for part-time day shifts in an acute care setting. The nurse will use the nursing process to address physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of patients and their designated care partners, developing individualized care plans aligned with cultural beliefs and values.

The role requires specialized nursing education, an active RN license in PA, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and collaboration with patients, families, and care partners.
• Cultural awareness and ability to engage with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, their family/designated care partners, and other staff in line with Jefferson Health values.
• Identifies learning needs with patients and families and provides education.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, and monitor care outcomes.
• Functions within nursing and inter-professional teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and coordinated care.
• Participates in committee work related to safety and quality improvement.
• Assists with discharge planning and arranging follow-up care.
