Job summary

Prime Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. The RN will provide direct patient care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit, following the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, while guiding patient/family teaching and coordinating with physicians on care plans.

Qualifications include active RN licensure, BLS (and ACLS preferred), and Ventilator management experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Prior Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Communicates with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
