Job summary

Kaleida Health's Buffalo General Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the BGMC Nursing Floats team. This full-time role covers 7:00pm to 7:30am shifts, with weekend/holiday requirements and onsite work.

The RN will assess patients, provide care, and implement physician-prescribed regimens in accordance with NYS regulations and Kaleida policies. Applicants must hold NYS RN registration and BLS, with willingness to work thirteen-hour shifts and participate in

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• American Heart Association-BLS within 6 months of Hire and must be maintained thereafter.
• Thirteen (13) hour shift employees, who bid on a position in another thirteen (13) hour shift department, and who is accepted for that position, will have the right to continue to be scheduled thirteen (13) hours even if the job is posted as a twelve and one-half (12 ½) hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and treats human responses to health problems through nursing care and provision of care supportive or restorative of life and well-being.
• Executes medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider.
• Adheres to Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
