Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, TX, is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse Telemetry. You will support patient care through collaboration with the care team and advocate for patients to enhance outcomes.

You will assess patient status during admission and shifts, perform procedures, document care in the electronic medical record, administer medications, and stay current on cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
