Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry/Observation unit. You will assess, plan, implement and document nursing care for Observation status patients in a fast-paced environment and work closely with physicians, case management and experienced nurses to ensure safe discharge or transfer.

This full-time Day shift (7am–7:30pm) includes an 18% night differential and a flat $3/hour weekend differential, with opportunities to use the

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice (Arizona).
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require experience in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs and review data with care team.
• Formulate a plan of care and discharge planning in collaboration with patient/family and health team.
• Implement the plan of care with physician orders and nursing care plan, delegating appropriately when needed.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise the care plan and teaching as necessary.
• Document assessments, plans, and outcomes in the patient record per policy.
