Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate nursing care for monitored patients in the telemetry unit during hospital stays. The role emphasizes cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic stabilization and adherence to evidence-based practices.

The RN will use the nursing process, ensure patient safety and privacy, and participate in maintaining a high standard of care across the department. Full-time day shifts with 72 bi-weekly hours are described.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess valid State of Michigan Nursing License.
• BLS certified.
• ACLS certified within 6 months of hire.
• Possesses excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate and present self to patient, visitors, other staff and physicians verbally and in writing in courteous, confident and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Performs purposeful hourly rounding including Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions.
• Applies the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge needs of patient/family.
• Provides professional direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical telemetry setting.
• Works within regulatory standards to ensure safe patient care environment and patient privacy.
