Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina's Orangeburg Telemetry unit is a 45-bed remote telemetry, stroke-certified unit caring for acutely ill patients with renal, cardiac, respiratory, post-surgical, and dialysis needs. The RN provides professional nursing care, coordinates care plans, and supports discharge planning.

Full-time position at 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts) with every other weekend obligation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Current RN license in South Carolina.
• AHA/ARC BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow MUSC standards of behavior.
• Supervise or mentor junior staff as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies and crisis situations when needed.
