Job summary

Advocate Health’s 4EW Telemetry unit in Hazel Crest, IL seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to support telemetry patients during 7a–7p shifts. The role is 0.9 FTE on a high-acuity telemetry team.

You will coordinate care using the nursing process, monitor cardiac rhythms, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state in which you practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years telemetry/critical care/Cath Lab/PACU nursing experience.
• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with standards and procedures.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision making to ensure safety and quality patient experience.
• Monitor telemetry patients closely, respond to rhythm changes, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.

Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry 4EW

Where You Will Work:

• The unit has 41 beds.
• As a nurse in this department, you will assist the telemetry team area only.

We're Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Must possess at minimum 2 years telemetry, critical care, Cath Lab, or PACU nursing experience
• A passionate nurse who is committed to ongoing personal and professional development while contributing to a positive unit culture built on teamwork, accountability, and collaboration.

What You'll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality care for telemetry patients by closely monitoring cardiac rhythms, responding to changes in patient condition, supporting safe transitions of care, and partnering with the interdisciplinary team to promote excellent outcomes.
