Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Telemetry unit. This fast-paced 50-bed unit cares for patients with complex cardiac diagnoses, post-op cardiac care, and interventional procedures.

The role is full-time, with three 12-hour day shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holidays. Candidates must have an accredited nursing program, IL RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and telemetry/med-surg experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Requires 1 year minimum of Telemetry or Medical/Surgical nursing experience to be considered.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Job Description

This fast paced 50 bed unit specializes in Cardiac Telemetry; caring for patients who have a variety of complex cardiac diagnosis such as COPD, CHF, A Fib. The unit also cares for post open heart surgical patients, and some post cardiac interventional procedures (cardiac cath, pacemakers). The unit also has a designated area for observation patients.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS within 6 months of hire
