Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility.
• Proficient in medical management of chest pain and electrolyte imbalances.
• Willing to float to various units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Frequent float required to Trauma, Cardiac, Neuro, Surgical, Ortho, and Cancer Care units.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of up to 6:1.
• Management of PICC lines, central lines, and trach care.

Location: New Jersey

Rate: $65/hr

Schedule: 36 hours/week | Weekends Only (Friday–Monday)

Unit Overview

• Frequent float required to Trauma, Cardiac, Neuro, Surgical, Ortho, and Cancer Care units
• Must be willing to float to all similar units
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: Up to 6:1
  
  

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility
• Proficient in the medical management of:

• Chest pain, blood pressure, and electrolyte imbalances
• Electrolyte replacement (PO and IV)
• Heparin drip protocol (nurse-driven)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• EKG monitoring
• IV push antihypertensives
• Blood draws and lab collection
• Peripheral IV placement and maintenance
• Maintenance of PICC lines, central lines, and ports
• Trach care and management
• Chest tube care
  
  

Certifications & Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license
• BLS and ACLS – American Heart Association
• NIHSS Certification
• COVID-19 vaccination + booster (required)
• Flu vaccination (required)
  
  

Orientation

• 2 days of classroom orientation
• No on-unit orientation provided
