American Traveler, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a night shift. The ideal candidate holds an active Illinois RN license, a BSN, BLS certification, and telemetry experience in a hospital setting; ACLS and NIHSS are preferred.

The role includes a 3×12 hour night schedule (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with weekend work, no on-call duties, and potential float to additional units or facilities within the system.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license; emergency or pending licenses not accepted.
• BSN required.
• BLS certification through AHA required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of direct experience.
• 2 years of charge nurse experience required.
• Skills checklist and 2 references required, with one reference from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge RN within the last year.
• All employment history with Northwestern Medicine or acquired facilities must be disclosed if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting.
• Telemetry work setting.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Weekend work required.
• No on-call requirements.
• 30-minute meal break.
• Required to float to 9 BT units plus overflow areas.
• May be required to float between facilities within the health system if requested by the unit manager.
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront and cannot be added after submission.
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
