Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will accurately record vital signs and document in the electronic medical record, participate in policy-driven procedures, and help maintain safety and cleanliness.

The role requires a High School Grad or equivalent, with 1+ year PCT experience preferred. BLS certification is required; CNA/CPCT/A/EMT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• CNA, CPCT/A and EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately perform vital signs and document in the EMR.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment and follow safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare team.
