Independence Health System in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician on the Medical Telemetry floor. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN, delivering compassionate support in a busy telemetry unit.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, documenting data, responding to call lights, and participating in unit performance improvement.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within orientation period.
• Ability to follow directions from RN/LPN and work under supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Respond promptly to call lights, inquiries and requests from patients and families.
• Collect, document and report ongoing patient care data as directed.
• Measure and document intake/output and daily weights when indicated.
• Transport patients and obtain needed equipment as directed.
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities to enhance care quality.
