Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Telemetry Unit at Providence Medical Center.
Shift's Available: Nights
Employment Type: Part-Time
Hours: 7:00pm-7:00am (12-hour shifts)
Location: Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Maintains accurate collection of specimens with appropriate patient labels before sending to the Lab.
- Uses two different patient identifiers consistently when drawing lab, administering medications or performing any procedure on a patient.
- Follows all medication policies including the medication reconciliation policy consistently.
- Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources of time, equipment, personnel and supplies.
- Demonstrates understanding of the roles and functions of other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Collaborates with other members of the health team and manages unit issues and/or concerns effectively at the lowest level possible.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state license
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- IV certification upon hire (state specific)
