Job summary

Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, part of Dignity Health, is hiring a Telemetry Nurse to join Tower 5 on a 30-bed medical telemetry unit. You will provide individualized, evidence-based care for patients with diverse conditions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an Arizona RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN License with the state of Arizona.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
  • One year recent acute care RN experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, safe, and evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
  • Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
  • Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Telemetry Nurse at SJHMC, you\'ll play a crucial role in our patient care team. Your expertise will be instrumental in caring for patients admitted to our unit, many of whom are funneled in from other units. This unique patient mix provides an excellent opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. Tower 5 at St. Joseph\'s Hospital and Medical Center is a 30-bed medical telemetry unit. The unit cares for a wide range of medical conditions, including liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and cardiac conditions. Tower 5 has so much variety in its patients.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You\'ll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
