Qualifications

• Current RN license in Arizona (AZ).
• ADN, Diploma, or BSN; Foreign Equivalent acceptable.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or in progress (ACLS within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, safe, and evidence-based nursing care.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities with patient comfort in mind.
• Demonstrates accountability for ethical practice and advocates for patients.
• Notifies physicians using SBAR and conducts bedside nurse-to-nurse reports.
• Recognizes changes in patient condition and responds promptly.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
• Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
• Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
• Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.

Job Requirements: Required

• ADN, Diploma, BSN or Foreign Equivalent
• Registered Nurse: AZ
• American Heart Association BLS
• American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months

Preferred

• One year recent acute care experience
• Bachelors of Science Nursing
