• Complete a basic arrhythmia course with annual competency testing.
• Initial and annual competency exams with a score of 90%.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and manage interruptions while using computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor heart rhythms and detect abnormalities, notifying appropriate personnel promptly.
• Maintain constant visual monitoring of rhythm equipment and ensure devices are functional.
• Manage alarms according to hospital policy and maintain alarm logs.
• Keep logs for equipment and coordinate battery changes and lead placement as needed.
• Report rhythm changes and patient behavior to the RN and care team promptly.
• Adhere to HIPAA and participate in safety reporting and team collaboration.
