Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is offering PRN Monitor Technician opportunities to join our team within the HCA Healthcare family. You will monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, assist with documentation, and support nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key duties include interpreting rhythms, reporting changes to nursing staff, maintaining telemetry supplies, recording patient condition in computerized systems, and orienting new staff. Basic Life Support is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Must be able to pass the Rhythms and Arrhythmias exam
• Telemetry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides physical comfort and care to patients
• Observes and maintains cardiac monitors and telemetry units
• Interpret rhythms and arrhythmias
• Report changes in heart rate/rhythm to nursing staff
• Maintain Telemetry Supplies
• Record patient condition using computerized documentation
• Orient and mentor new staff
• Follow Standard Precautions with PPE as required
