Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course with interpretation ability.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• CMT/Cardiac experience preferred.
• Experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.

Responsibilities

• Interpret rhythms and arrhythmias and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain telemetry supplies and unit documentation.
• Record patient condition using computerized systems.
• Work with age-specific factors and support nursing operations.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Follow Standard Precautions and PPE as required.
