Job summary

AdventHealth Zephyrhills is seeking a Monitor Technician to support telemetry monitoring and patient safety on days shifts. You will observe monitors, document EKG patterns, and promptly notify nursing staff of abnormalities, while maintaining alarms and logging per policy.

Qualifications include prior monitor technician experience or completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training, basic computer skills, and good English communication. High school diploma preferred; BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Pleasant telephone manner and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates behavior that aligns with the company's core values.
• Documents in accordance with department policy and maintain telemetry logbook.
• Observes monitors, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG patterns, and promptly notify nursing staff of any abnormalities.
• Maintains monitor alarms per policy, verifies that alarms are set and audible every shift, and troubleshoots monitors as needed.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities, demonstrating accurate documentation and monitoring of activities, and supporting departmental quality standards and initiatives.
